KODA

The heat was rising in the rainforest. He could feel the sweat soaking his body. The dripping water from above did nothing to cool his sweltering body. If it didn't cool soon, he was going to be making an extended trip to the lake. He could only imagine how Ilene was feeling in that moment, carrying his young. He was sure she was roasting. He couldn't quite understand why it was so hot. They were in the shade, it should be cool. Maybe it was just him. Could be, he was coming down with something. If that were the case, he needed to get some place to cool off, before his body reacted to the heat.

So he set off in the direction he knew the lake to be in, hoping to encounter no one. If he was coming down with something, he didn't want to risk passing it to either of his girls. Just because he was out for a round or two didn't mean they needed to suffer as well. No, he would seclude himself, and cool his temperature down, then take a round and check on the mares. He was positive they could hold their own without him for a few days.

He knew there was a respiratory issue when he picked his pace up to a trot. Never before in his life had he become winded so fast. He paused long enough to catch his breath before he set off again, at a much slower pace. He didn't want to risk causing any long-term issues, and run the chance of leaving the girls alone. There was too much at risk for them to be left without some sort of protection. There was too much evil traversing the lands, and he knew they would be in danger. They were gorgeous mares, and appealing. He feared what would happen if they caught the wrong type of attention. So he would do everything in his power to get better quickly.

It seemed like forever before the lake was in his sights. He wasn't used to moving this slow. For him, it had always been normal to move at a fast pace. It gave him more time to spend wherever he was going. So this moving slow thing was irritating. But, finally, he felt the water lapping gently at his hooves. He drifted in lazily up to his knees before he dipped his mug to the surface. He took a long drink, attempting to cool his body from the inside out. The cool water felt amazing, and the deeper into the lake he went, the cooler his body felt.

GEORGIA
Sky is the limit

Georgia never thought she would feel like this at this point. A mare that walks around all by herself looking for that stag that had gotten her pregnant. She really just did not know what to do with herself at this point. Shifting the weight under her daggers as she walked forwards. Eyes turning back to see that her figure was a bit more rounder than it had been before. Flickering her thorns around upon her skull as she was not liking where it was going from here. Her virginity taken and now she was trapped with a little one and his father. . .unknown at this point. It really did hurt her to even think such a thing, but of course she did.

Her body shifted as she moved forwards through the rain forest. Flickering her banner side to side in a bit of a ticked off manner. Shifting her weight as she walked forwards and felt like her sides were waving side to side. Sighing as she was getting bored with being alone. She really wanted to see life. She did not even see the stallion that had offered her a home to live within. Shifting the daggers that were under his figure. Taking in a deep breath of air while she moved. Then her eyes fell upon the stag that gave her a home. . .Koda.

Gazing over the stag as he moved over into the water. Unsure of just what he was doing. This was not something she was use to seeing while she had been with this stag. Moving her figure forwards while she stopped at the water's edge with her round pelt shining right there before the stag. Thorns perked upon her skull while she looked over the stag with a soft smile upon her face. "Hello Koda." Saying simply from the edge of the water. Not allowing herself to go in since it was a bit to cold at this point. Wondering just what the stag might say towards her and the fact he had not seen her for a while and now she was round with a foal. She was even a bit on the sweaty side due to the atmosphere of this place. She just put it to the back of her mind and was glad to just see the sight of another equine right now.

KODA

He couldn't believe how cooling the water was. It was almost as though the heat was falling off of him. He knew, though, that as soon as he left the water, the heat would rise again. He wasn't worried about a chill; the humid air would prevent that. But the heat was what he dreaded. He didn't want to deal with the rising temperature of his body. There couldn't be a worse time for him to fall sick. There was no doubt in his mind that he had caught something. Where, he had no idea. He hadn't stepped foot from the lands in weeks. Everything he needed was within the borders.

He felt his back hunch with a cough, and the water flowed from his body in small waves. He watched the liquid, his chin dipped just below the surface. As focused on watching the clear liquid as he was, he didn't hear the other horse approaching. It was a surprise when he heard his name being called. Water splashed away from him once more as he turned his crown to see Georgia standing at the waters edge.

She was rounder than the last time he saw her. Immediately, he knew what had happened. Of course he knew. But he didn't blame her. It was his own fault that she had felt the need to turn to another stag. It gave him more reason to stay right where he was. He didn't want to endanger her or the young one she carried. He wondered about the stud she had met. "Hello, Georgia," his voice was raspier than he expected. "I haven't seen you about for awhile. I guess I know why, now."He was careful to keep his voice calm. Though he cared deeply for the mare, she was an adult, and perfectly able to make her own decisions. He wasn't going to try to control her life.

GEORGIA
Sky is the limit

Georgia kind of felt bad while she looked into the eyes of this stag as he turned and faced her. He had proved her a home and shelter from all the evil in this world. Yet, she repays him by coming home pregnant and not with his child, but this was her first rodeo truly. She did not know what she did in the herd life when it came to the age she was in and it was the time of the season and the first time she allowed her hormones to really kick in and her body not be able to control it just yet. Georgia took in a deep breath of air as she shook her skull lightly side to side to get away the thoughts she was having.

Taking her eyes and looking over to the bronco. Hearing that his voice was a bit different than it was when she first met the stag. It was ever so odd to her thorns, but he did not look okay as it was. Taking in the words of the stag as he spoke towards her. Allowing her head to drop slightly and her head to fall back kind of in a saddened way. Putting her eyes towards the ground as her heart seemed to slowly hurt a bit more than it should and of course Georgia did not know that it was the odd hormones that this pregnancy was giving her.

Then she took her eyes and placed them back up and onto the stag before her, but her head did not move from where it was at. "I am sorry, Koda. I am to new at these things and I did not want to bother you and Ilene had something going between you to and I did not want to get in the way. I'm sorry." She said as her voice changed to kind of a shaky voice as she moved back about three steps. Unsure of just what was going through her mind. Georgia only wanted happiness and yet she had felt she let down the stag that was there before her. She was all too new at things like this and was actually very much scared right now.

She really was very unsure of foals and yet she was having one. She needed help and direction with just what she needed to do with it. The creepy legs and their nonsense talk that comes from their mouths. Yes, she was one before this point but still never got them truly.

KODA

She seemed upset with herself. He wondered if she expected him to get angry, and throw her from his lands. He had no intentions of doing such a thing, of course, but she didn't know that. He could tell just by looking at her that she was terrified. Maybe of telling him, maybe of the fact that she was carrying another life inside of her, but he knew she was scared. He couldn't do much to ease her mind. He couldn't touch her, he couldn't get close to her. Not in his condition. He wasn't sure if he could even get what he needed to say out without screwing with her mind even more.

But he had to try. She was waiting on him to say something. And even though the foal wasn't his, he wasn't going to boot her from his protection. If she was still here, then something must have happened with the sire. He didn't know where that put him, but seeing as she still came to him, he figured it was his duty to offer her whatever he could in the way of comfort. "Georgia, we are both young. But let me explain to you the dynamics of herd life," he took a breath, hoping his words were coming clear, and that she could hear him very well. "You have a lead stallion, myself, and his lead mare. You have the mares that the stallion has offered homage to. It is his duty to protect and care for the mares he has offered a home to. You and Ilene are both the girls I promised I would protect and care for. The thing you saw 'going on' between myself and Ilene... we have a history. We met on our travels, and I left her to find this place. So, yes, there is something between us. But that doesn't mean there couldn't have been anything between you and me. I won't make you leave just because it isn't mine. If you chose to do so, I won't stop you. But you're welcome here for as long as I call this place mine. If it's what you want, I will claim it. I don't know what's happened with the stag that you met. But he is not welcome here."

He wanted desperately to go to her. To show her that he did care for her, no matter what she believed. But he couldn't risk infecting her. He hoped she could realize why he had yet to leave the water.

GEORGIA
Sky is the limit

Her body shifted ever so slightly as the foal decided it wanted to move quickly and in a bit of an owwie way towards Georgia. Her eyes closing slightly with the bit of pain that came through her body. Looking around for a moment as she thought of her life for a little while. Yet, there was no way for her to ease herself from the sight of her foal coming and her not knowing what to expect. Seeing that she never thought of foals of being cute, but she was having one. It was a bit of an odd thing , but of course she just kind of pushed it to the side wile she looked over towards her lead stallion.

Thorns perked upon her skull while she took in everything that he had to say. Ever bit was correct and then seeing the words of Ilene being placed within them. That they had had a history and so on. Seeing that there was truly something between the two of them, but then it clicked that she would most likely was going to be the lead in the future from what she was kind of getting. Though of course Georgia could be wrong, but she continued to take in more words from the stags words. Hearing that she could still stay around here even though the foal was not going to be his. It was kind of a happy spot within Georgia's mind. She wasn't sure if she would be able to or not. So that was one relief she was glad to know.

Then her heart slightly broke when his last words came into her mind. He had said that the stag that bred her was not allowed within this land. What would that mean for the little one? To grow up and no be able to see it's father and be stuck with a stallion that was no where near what it's father looked like. Sighing slightly as she looked to the ground for a moment and nodded her head lightly. "Understood." She said simply unsure of what to say after those last bit of words came into her thorns. Eyes going and looking to the ground for a moment and then back up towards Koda.


Dipping her head as she could slightly feel a tear starting to form within her eyes. "Sorry sir. . .I. . .I didn't mean to bother you." She said softly as she turned her figure and trotted away with her stomach swaying side to side. She did not know what to do right now. Her figure made her stop moving all of a sudden as she was still in the sight of where Koda could see her from where she was at. Yes she should have expected that but this foal thing had her mind going every where. If she did not have this foal in her she would understand it and it just hit her. Oh how she felt so stupid at this point. Wanting to turn around, but she was so nervous to do such a thing. Taking in a deep breath and releasing a small sigh with her orbs closed. Unsure just what she was going to do now. She had messed up by running off even though she just went a shouts distance away from where Koda was at. An she just didn't know what do even say if she went and wandered back over towards Koda again.

KODA

He knew he had messed up by the crestfallen look hat came over her face. But she had to understand why he had come to the decision that he had. He couldn't have other stallions moving into his lands, sleeping with his mares. Especially when he was still trying so hardtop hold the lands for himself. It wasn't easy being in charge, and he knew she didn't quite understand his point in banning the stag she had met. He wanted to reassure her, and make her understand why he had made the choice that he had so easily. But she was walking away from him, disappointment rolling off of her in waves.

He exited the water, and felt the chill settle into his body. His pace was slow as he followed her, but she had stopped not far from where their conversation had started. He didn't want to move too quickly and risk injury to his lungs, but he knew he needed to catch her and explain his reasoning. His pursuit stopped several feet from her, hoping he was far enough away so as to not infect her or her unborn young. "Georgia, I don't say this to hurt you. I care for you very much. Much more than you know. I want nothing more than for you to be happy, but you have to understand why he is not welcome here. Put yourself in my position, and tell me you would not do the same thing. I can't risk letting him come in here and decide tat he's not content just living here. If it had been Ilene, I would tell her the same thing. I'm sorry, Georgia. I want you to be happy. If he is what makes you happy, I'm glad you have found him. But if you wish to stay with him, it won't be here."

He hated speaking the words that he was, but there was no way he was going to change his mind. It was too big of a risk for him to take, even for her.
